Classes, Workshops & Private Lessons

...everything from Waltz to Salsa. Heart & Sole Dance offers group of classes and private instruction for both adults and youth. Pricing and structure are below, the calendar is above.
New to the studio and not sure what is best for you? Try our Introductory Special: a 30 minute private lesson and a drop in class for $25 (normally $55)
• Numbered classes run monthly. Level 100 & 200 classes are availble monthly and as workshops. We recommend taking series classes as a full series (4 weeks of a 4 week class). Check our 'dance descriptions' for information about each dance.
• No partner necessary for any class or workshop (except the Wedding Workshop).
• Don't see what you want? Private lessons are available for both adults and youth. Another option would be to gather a group and schedule a group private! Contact us for more information about private lessons.
• Youth are welcome in any Heart & Sole Dance classes. We also offer specific 'Youth' classes
'Taste of...' Classes
Come get a taste of one or two dances! 25 minute classes to get your feet wet. All drop in. $5 per class.

Level 100 Classes
The 'starting' point - perfect for beginners or experienced dancers wanting to review their basics.
Weekly ‘100’ classes are 50 minutes in length and we recommend taking a full month. ‘100’ Level Workshops and Intensives are offered regularly as single, intense opportunities - packing lots of foundational material into 1.5 or 2 hour segments.
Some of our most popular 100 level intensives are ‘Wedding Workshop’ and ‘Dancing for Every Occasion 101’

Level 200 Classes
Takes the information from Level 100 classses and builds on it adding patterns and technique. Dancers must have taken Level 100 classes and/or feel comfortable with the basics of the dance offered (instructor approval).

Level 300 Classes (and above)
Designed for advanced dancers, competitors or performers (instructor approval). ‘300’ courses are offered in Workshop/Intensive format at this time and on Monday's in West Coast Swing). $45/month (1x per week for 4 weeks), workshops priced individually
Dance Fitness Classes
Dance your way to a fitter you. The hottest thing in the fitness industry... come take a class on us (your first class is free!) Want to focus on core muscles, try a Pilates class! And, of course, dancers crave flexibility and serenity! Join us in any of our Yoga classes! All fitness classes are drop-in. (Pilates and Yoga being added soon!) $15 class (drop in); Punch cards: 5 for $66, 10 for $99
Private Lessons
Individual instruction for 1-2 people. Available for both adults and youth. Privates are perfect for the dancer who wants a more personalized approach than classes can offer. Social Dancing for Every Occasion 101
Learn the three dances that will keep you on the floor like a pro at your next event! Good 'lead/follow' techniques are taught through basic patterns of Foxtrot, Rumba and American Swing. Perfect for total beginners, or the dancer wishing to review and work on improving basics. $45/month, workshops priced individually

Youth!
Youth are welcome in any Heart & Sole Dance class, and we have some classes specially designed for the exerbreance of the young! Click here for details.
Pre-registration for September 2008 classes: July 1st-3rd; 3pm-9pm at the Tinley Park studio. Limited space available, first come first serve.
Teacher Training

American Style Bronze Teacher Training
Teaching dance is a career option for anyone — even those with no prior dance experience! The American Style Bronze Teacher Training is perfect for anyone motivated in becoming a dance teacher.
Learn 17 dances and how to teach them, over 16 months. The program is divided into 4 sections, taking students through the entire DVIDA (Dance Vision International Dancers Association) Bronze American Style syllabus for the Smooth, Rhythm, and Night Club dances. Sessions begin quarterly and may be taken in any order. This class has no prerequisites; it is open to dancers of any level.
